Learn All About Our Dependable Landscaping Company
Holde Fink studied biochemistry and small scale agriculture at The Evergreen State College. After College he worked for a nursery growing common and unusual fruiting trees and shrubs and dove into the area of edible landscape gardens.
In 1987 while managing a two acre certified organic raspberry fresh market farm in Coburg OR, he began Native and Urban Gardens. The early years found him mowing and maintaining gardens.
In 1994 he left the farm and became a licensed landscape contractor and began designing small projects and working with local designers installing their projects. During the 1990 he became skilled in rock work and pavers, irrigation installation and expanded his knowledge of plant materials.
Native and Urban Gardens maintained lawns and gardens and was able to hire full time employees to help with the maintenance route and installing designs.
In the early 2000 we began to do projects for the City of Eugene as a landscape subcontractor on new park construction and renovation. We were the lead contractor of willow planting along approximately five miles of the Millrace, and Amazon tributaries and byways of the Willamette.
During this time to the present Holde has focused on a small team approach to providing the highest level of craftsmanship and aesthetic design care possible. Holde has developed a wide knowledge of plant materials available to implement naturalistic plantings that focus on plants and the natural world.
